Buying capacity

Capacity is dedicated upstream internet for your network, bought from a capacity seller through the Marketplace. You estimate the cost, send a request for your site, get a firm quote after a feasibility check, and pay in two stages: one to start the work and one when the link is live. After that it is billed monthly as a subscription.

Go to Marketplace → Capacity (/dashboard/marketplace/capacity). If you see “No capacity sellers serve your country yet.”, capacity isn’t available where you are yet.

The page sums up the process:

  1. Request with your site and window.
  2. NOC feasibility (target 3 working days).
  3. Accept the quote and pay stage 1.
  4. Provisioning: fibre, SFPs, site access, splice.
  5. Commissioning tests (throughput, latency, loss).
  6. You confirm the link within 24 hours.
  7. Pay stage 2 and take over the link.
  8. Monthly billing on the anniversary.

In the Estimator, choose a Seller and set the capacity with the slider, a preset, or the exact Mbps. The estimate shows the Monthly charge, Activation, Stage 1 · to start work, Stage 2 · when the link is live and First payment total.

If you ask for more than the seller’s published rate card covers, the page says “Above the published rate card — the seller quotes this capacity.” The estimate is indicative; the quote after feasibility is what you pay.

  1. Click Request this capacity.
  2. Choose the Delivery region.
  3. Locate the site: drop a pin (latitude and longitude) or photograph the ATC / site number. Add the address or a landmark.
  4. Enter the site contact name and phone, your preferred commissioning window, and any existing upstream.
  5. Describe the handover: port (for example 10G SFP+), VLAN, and routing (Static routing or BGP).
  6. Add anything the NOC should know, and click Send request.

The request appears under My capacity requests with its live state.

Open the request to follow it. While the seller checks the site it shows Feasibility. Then you get either:

  • Not feasible, with the reason and, where possible, an alternative; or
  • a Quotation with itemised lines, stage amounts, a Quotation PDF and how long it is valid.

To go ahead, choose Accept quote and sign the capacity terms. Sign with a one-time code and Your full name, then click Sign and continue to payment and pay stage 1 as for any purchase.

Once accepted, the request links to an order with a Provisioning tracker. Some steps are yours to tick off (Mark done). When the NOC has commissioned the link you have 24 hours to Confirm the link works or Raise an issue. Then Pay now for stage 2 and the link is yours.

Marketplace → Subscriptions (/dashboard/marketplace/subscriptions) lists your live capacity links and recurring services with the Amount, Period, Next bill, Capacity (Mbps) or Seats, and status. From here you can:

  • Pay an open invoice.
  • Upgrade or downgrade capacity (Change to (Mbps)) within the same band. Changes are pro-rated; moving to a different band needs a new feasibility request.
  • Change Seats for a service.
  • Cancel at period end.

A subscription with unpaid invoices can move into grace, limited or suspended status, so keep invoices paid.
