Sender IDs
A sender ID is the name your customers see as the sender of an SMS, for
example RIFTFIBRE instead of a number. Until you register one, your messages
go out from the shared ISPMAN sender ID. A sender ID of your own builds
trust: customers recognise payment confirmations and expiry reminders as
coming from you.
Go to Comms → SMS → Reserve sender ID (/dashboard/sms/sender-ids).
ISPMan registers the name with each network for you.
Reserve a sender ID
Section titled “Reserve a sender ID”- Requested sender ID: type the name. It must be 3–11 letters and digits, related to your business or product name. The page checks it as you type, says “Looks good.” when it passes, and suggests names based on your business name.
- Traffic type: choose Transactional (OTPs, invoices, outage notices) or Promotional (offers). Some networks need a separate sender ID for each type; when that applies the page explains it and offers Also reserve a … sender ID for the other type.
- Networks: tick the networks to register with. The price per network is shown.
- Use case and Sample message: describe how you will use it. These are pre-filled from your templates; adjust if needed.
- Documents: provide your certificate of incorporation (or reuse one on file), download the Letter of Authorization (Download LOA), sign it and upload it. A trademark certificate is optional.
- Add to cart and pay the setup fee. You pay through the normal marketplace checkout.
You can pay now and upload the documents later from this page. ISPMan checks the documents within 1 working day of payment, then the networks process the registration.
Track your sender IDs
Section titled “Track your sender IDs”Your sender IDs lists each name with its Traffic type and State, including its state on each network. Depending on the state you may see:
- Upload documents: documents are still needed, or were sent back for changes.
- Edit and resubmit: the name was rejected. You can edit and resubmit once for free.
- LOA: download the Letter of Authorization again.
Choose your default sender
Section titled “Choose your default sender”Under Default sender for transactional SMS, pick which of your sender IDs is used for payment and expiry messages. Only active transactional sender IDs can be chosen; a promotional-only ID is never offered here. You see “… is now your default sender.”
