Inventory overview

Inventory keeps count of the equipment and materials you stock for installations: fibre and ethernet cable, PPPoE routers, ONUs, splitters, connectors and so on. You record stock as it arrives, technicians raise requests for what they need, and someone you trust approves each request, which takes the units out of stock.

Open it from the Inventory menu. It has three pages:

Page Path What it is for
Items /dashboard/inventory/items Every item type and how much is available, with Add Stock and New Item Type.
Requests /dashboard/inventory/requests Stock requests: raise new ones, approve or reject pending ones.
Settings /dashboard/inventory/settings Edit your own custom item types and their reorder levels.
  1. Item types describe what you stock and how it’s counted: Fiber Cable in meters, ONU/ONT by the piece. ISPMan includes a set of common types for every account, and you can add your own.
  2. Stock arrives in batches. Each time you Add Stock you record a batch: quantity, and optionally the supplier, unit cost, store/location and notes. A type’s Available count is the total left across all its batches.
  3. Requests take stock out. Anyone on the team can raise a request for a number of units. It’s accepted only if enough stock is available at that moment.
  4. Approval draws stock down, oldest batch first. When a request is approved, units are taken from the oldest batch first, then the next. For example, with a 20 m batch added first and a 50 m batch added later, a 60 m request empties the 20 m batch and takes 40 m from the 50 m batch, leaving 10 m.
  5. Low stock is flagged. If you set a reorder level on a type, the Items page marks it Low / reorder once available stock falls to that level or below.

Adding stock and approving requests are recorded in the audit log, including the balance before and after each approval.

On the Onboarding board (under Sales & Promos), you can raise an inventory request straight from a customer’s ticket. The ticket then shows it’s awaiting that item, and approving the request clears it. See Promotions.

If you don’t track stock, hide Inventory from your menus under Services in the Dashboard settings drawer. Nothing is deleted.
